Esperanza Women's Center History
How We Came to Be
As a labor and delivery nurse, Renee Culbertson saw so many women who needed help
and didn’t know where to turn. She dreamed of having a place that would serve these women
and meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. In 1998, she opened the doors
of Esperanza Women’s Center, and her dream became a reality. Esperanza now serves approximately
400 women per month, offering free, confidential, bi-lingual services.
Mission
Esperanza Women’s Center exists to provide a Christ-centered safe place for women who are facing
pregnancy; to ensure women have the resources they need to have a healthy pregnancy;
and to equip women to make positive choices for their future.
